Abstract

Seven pottery vessels from theMiddle Bronze Age IIB–C site at the foot ofTel Bira were selectedfor petrographic analysis, with the aim ofidentifying the production sources of significanttypes.Four petrographic groups were identifie: Groups 1 and 2 are oflocal provenance;Group 3 originated in the northern coastal plain; andGroup 4, in the Mediterranean coast of Syria.
