Abstract
In October–November 2021, an excavation was conducted in the Bet Guvrin Forest (Permit Nos. A-8724/2020, A-8982/2021; Map ref.188732-936/612278-300), as part of the Kings of Judah Road project. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Israel Antiquities Authority and the Jewish National Fund (JNF) was directed by S. Bloch-Lifshitz, with the assistance of Y. Alamor (administration), E. Aladjem (surveying and drafting), I. Azoulay (plans), S. Ganor, V. Lifshits, Z. Firer, and A. Montagu (Ashqelon district), A. Golani and D. Eisenberg-Degen (scientific guidance) as well as R. Dagan and O. Aflalo (education department). Students from premilitary programs and girls’ high schools participated in the excavation.
