Abstract
In November 2023, a salvage excavation was conducted on Hebron Road in Jerusalem, near the Shmuel Wall Junction (Permit No. A-9695/2023; Map ref. 220105-63/627163-237), after an architectural element suspected as a wall was exposed when trial trenches were dug on the eastern side of the road. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, was directed by I. Berko, with the assistance of S. Halevi (surveying), T. Kanias (IAA Jerusalem District) and N. Nehama (administration).
