Abstract
In March 2024, a salvage excavation was conducted in the Kiryat Shmuel neighborhood in central Jerusalem (Permit No. A-9788/2024; Map ref. 220817/630831), following the discovery of the site during an inspection prior to the construction of new apartment buildings. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by Steven Corporation Ltd., was directed by U.J. Prince, with the assistance of M. Hajabi (supervisor), Y. Shalev (scientific guidance), S. Halevi (documentation), O. Zakaim (plan and sections), N. Nechama (administration) and Z. Matskevich (supervision).
