Abstract
In July 1951, a trial excavation was conducted at Khirbat Umm Juna, south of Kibbutz Deganya A (map ref. 2537/7336). The excavation was conducted following the discovery of a sarcophagus by members of the Kibbutz, during the digging of pits for planting trees. The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by B. Ravni.
