Abstract
In September 1959, a salvage excavation was conducted at Tel Bira (map ref. unknown), under the direction of M. Prausnitz, after an ancient cemetery was breached during the construction of a road. According to the excavator, remains dating to the Byzantine and Early Islamic periods were visible on the hill and in the cemetery.
