Abstract
In the years 1951 and 1957, excavations were conducted at Tel ‘Erani (map ref. unknown), under the direction of Sh. Yeivin. The documents in the 1956 excavation file (&-20/1956) mention excavation areas A, B, C, E, and F. An additional excavation report for Area G is also in the file, according to which four strata were exposed on the western slopes of the tell: In the first stratum, the remains of a casemate wall that was dated to the Iron Age 2 were exposed. In the second stratum, walls and parts of a floor that were dated to the Iron Age 2 were discovered. In the third was a tower built of bricks that was dated to the Iron Age 1 and in the fourth stratum, a glacis wall was exposed, as well as the remains of upper structures that were dated to the Iron Age 1.
