Abstract
In January 2023, a trial excavation was undertaken prior to the planned expansion of the Neve Shamir neighborhood in Bet Shemesh. The excavation, conducted on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the Dissi Group, was directed by R. Ben Chelouche, with the assistance of N. Nehama (administration), E. Marco (photogrammetry), O. Rose (location map and plan), Y. Shalev (scientific consultant), and A. Eirikh-Rose, Z. Kanias, and S. Gendler (Judah District).
