Abstract
In October 1998, a salvage excavation was conducted at the Mizpe Afeq site in Rosh Ha-ʻAyin (Permit No. A-2960/1998; map ref. 1961–6/6660–3) prior to construction, following the discovery of a rock-hewn burial cave. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, was directed by C. Eliaz, with the assistance of A. Hajian and I. Vatkin (surveying) and T. Sagiv (field photography).
