Abstract

In 1952, an excavation was conducted at Horbat Hanun in southern Netanya (Map ref. 18685-750/68915-50). The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by F. Berger. The remains of structures that were identified as an agricultural installation and a winepress were exposed in the excavation, including a mosaic treading floor. A chamber was also exposed, inside which were two round pools paved with mosaics, a stone installation and a plastered settling (fermentation) pit, containing the remains of what the excavator believed to be stairs. Plans and photographs are found in the archive, without a report. No finds were registered in the National Treasures records.
