Abstract
In September 1949, a salvage excavation was conducted in Netanya, in the Ben Ami neighborhood (map ref. unknown), following the discovery of a sarcophagus during cable laying. The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by M. Avi-Yonah. The sarcophagus was found inside a rock-hewn tomb.
