Abstract
In December 2023, a trial excavation was conducted in an area designated for the construction of a new neighborhood, Ramot Yoram, in the western part of Netivot (Permit No. A-9675/2023; Map ref. 158944-9480/593058-529). The excavation was carried out following the discovery of finds in two spots during an archaeological inspection. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Netivot municipality, was directed by N.S. Paran, with the assistance of Y. Alamor (administration), A. Montagu (surveying), I. Azulay (mapping and plans), V. Lifshits, Sh. Tal and A. Reisyuk, S. Shaked, S. Guntar and S. Brailovsky and laborers from Rahat and from Kuseifa.
