Abstract
In 1987, a trial excavation was conducted along the eastern side of Tel Yizra’el (map ref. 2312/7180). The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by P. Porat and D. Ussishkin. Buildings and fortifications were exposed in the excavation, which were dated to the Iron Age.
