Abstract
In December 1955, a trial excavation was conducted at the southern housing complex in Beit She’an (map ref. 2473/7105), south of the Byzantine Beit She’an wall. The excavation was carried out following the discovery of the remains of coffins during ground leveling prior to construction works. The excavation, on behalf of the Department of Antiquities and Museums, was directed by N. Zori.
