About this Journal
Qadum is an open-access, non-profit journal dedicated to the archaeology of Israel. It continues the former formats of ‘Atiqot and the Extended Reports section of Hadashot Arkheologiyot–Excavations and Surveys in Israel (HA–ESI), presenting excavation reports of sites dating from prehistory to the Ottoman period within the geographical area of the Land of Israel. All content published in the journal is subject to peer-review and language editing.Language of Publication
Qadum is a bilingual journal, publishing articles in both Hebrew and English.
Main articles submitted in Hebrew may be supplemented with accompanying articles in either Hebrew or English.
Main articles submitted in English will only be supplemented with accompanying articles in English.
All Hebrew reports are accompanied by English summaries keyed to the illustrations in the main text.
Open Access
All content published in Qadum is open access, providing free and immediate online access to current archaeological research. This approach increases the visibility of the articles, leading to more citations and downloads, and contributing to the ongoing learning and teaching of the archaeology of Israel.Publication Fees

All authors submitting papers to Qadum assign the Israel Antiquities Authority the right to:- Publish their work online.
